Terms and conditions


1.        Contracts concluded by electronic means under the Law no. 365/2002 regarding electronic commerce:

The contracts concluded by electronic means produce all the effects that the law recognizes for contracts, when the conditions required by law for their validity exists.

For the validity of contracts concluded by electronic means it is not required a prior consent of the parties on the use of electronic means.

Evidence of contract conclusion by electronic means and obligations arising from these contracts is subject to the ordinary law of evidence and the Law no. 455/2001 regarding electronic signature.

2.        Buyers inform:

The National Opera House from Timișoara informs the buyers of the following:

  • Technical steps to be followed to conclude the contract;
  • If the contract once signed, is stored or not by the National Opera House from Timișoara and accessibility;
  • Technical means that the National Opera House from Timișoara made available to the buyer to identify and correct errors occurred during data entry;
  • The language of the contract.

Conclusion of the contract by electronic means:

  • If the parties have agreed otherwise, the contract is concluded when the buyer accepts the offer price of the ticket or subscription and came to the attention of the National Opera House from Timișoara;
  • The ticket price offer or subscription acceptance and confirmation of acceptance is considered received when the parties to whom they are addressed can access them;
  • The terms and conditions stipulated herein shall be confirmed by the buyer registration system by pressing the button "Buy" after the selection made by the buyer of tickets offered for sale;
  • Depending on the language settings, this document is available in Romanian and English.

4.        Purchase price, payment terms and transport

  • The price displayed for tickets or subscriptions is their selling price, which includes fees imposed by legislation: (Duty Musical Stamp - 5%,  Historic Monument Fee - 2%, Tax per performance - 2%, Royalty fee UCMR -ADA);
  • The fee charged by the bank or intermediary is borne entirely by the National Opera House from Timișoara, applicable to buying or returning the tickets;
  • The payment of the purchase price is made exclusively with bank card, passing from the website of the Seller on the website of the bank or intermediary with the National Opera House from Timișoara has entered into an agreement for this purpose;
  • For errors occurring on payment of bank or intermediary, the National Opera House from Timișoara cannot take any responsibility;
  • The confirmation message is automatically sent to the email address provided by the Buyer;
  • Any damage arising due to the wrong e-mail address is the buyer's responsibility;
  • Teaching the tickets or subscriptions goes according to readings on site and the message received from the successful execution of the transaction.

5.        Personal printed tickets

  • The tickets printed personally by the Buyer, after a successful purchase, cannot be taken at the Ticket Agency. Ticket with personal printing can be used only if the barcode and barcode next to the code are legible, recommending avoids using economy mode (draft) the printer.
  • Consequences and damage arising from loss, theft, false printing, copying, printing multiple tickets with personal printing are the responsibility of the Purchaser. See "Help" menu for how to obtain tickets.

6.        The management of complains:

  • For problems, the buyer can use the email address:  bilete@ort.ro;
  • The National Opera House from Timișoara responds and begin to verify the issues mentioned on the buyers e-mail within 72 hours;
  • We do not accept reservations by phone or e-mail;
  • The tickets purchased may be returned or exchanged under certain conditions set out in Policy Cancellation / Return of tickets.
  • The National Opera House from Timișoara reserves the right to make changes to the program submitted. In case of changing the program or if the performance is suspended, the tickets are refunded or can be exchanged for another event;
  • The tickets are valid only at the performances produced and supported by the National Opera House from Timișoara.




The buyer has the right to request the return of the value of tickets purchased online or from the Ticket Agency or from an intermediary, without any motivation, within maximum 7 days from the date of their acquisition.

To exercise the right of withdrawal the buyer must inform us about the decision using the statement - form in Your account in accordance with the provisions of OUG no. 34/2014.

To meet the deadline, simply send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal by email: bilete@ort.ro before the withdrawal period provided the show for which they were purchased tickets may not be occurred, the situation entails loss of the right of withdrawal.

It will reimburse the full value of tickets purchased online, less the fee charged by the bank or intermediary, not later than 7 calendar days from the date we received your request.

Reimbursement will be made using the same payment method as the one used for the initial transaction and will not charge fees as a result of such reimbursement.

In case of the 7 days overdue, tickets will not be refunded.

The National Opera House from Timișoara as the owner of the website: www.ort.ro respects the privacy and security of processing of personal data of every individual who visits the website to purchase tickets online.

In accordance with the Law no. 677/2001 regarding the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data, the National Opera House from Timișoara has an obligation to manage safely and only for the purposes described below, the personal data provided to us.

The National Opera House from Timișoara undertakes to preserve the privacy provided through the website: www.ort.ro, as required by the provisions of Law 677/2001 as amended on the protection of personal data.

Any information provided by you will be considered and will represent your express consent that your personal data will be used by the National Opera House from Timișoara for the purposes mentioned below.

If you want your personal data to be updated or removed from the database or have questions about privacy, please contact/notify us anytime using the contact details on the site.

If you do not want your data to be collected, please do not give us.

2. The purpose of collecting personal data

The National Opera House from Timișoara will not disclose to the third parties any of your data (personal information or optional information) without your consent, unless we believe, in good faith that the law requires it or that this is necessary for protect the rights or property of the National Opera House from Timișoara.

The National Opera House from Timișoara using advanced security methods and technologies, together with strict policies and procedures applied to employees working, including regular audits to protect the personal data collected and processed according to the regulations. 

The device server that is hosted the website through which we collect personal data is protected both physical access as well as remote access (limited), being installed in a data center and is a subjected to periodic safety audits.

The National Opera House from Timisoara, Romania is a cultural public institution subordinated to the Ministry of Culture, his activity being held on annual artistic seasons, performing opera, operetta, ballet and opera for children performances, at home as well abroad.  The National Opera House from Timisoara was establishing through Royal Decree no. 254/31st of March, 1946.
